For health reasons, the humidity in living and working spaces should remain within the recommended range.
The preferred temperature for a cosy feeling on the sofa typically ranges from 20 to 22°C. You can increase it a little in the evening without raising your heating bill.
For sound, healthy sleep, the humidity level in the bedroom should remain within the recommended range. At higher humidity levels, you will be restless and sweat more.
A temperature of 15 to 18°C supports recovery. Moreover, a low temperature fuels our fat burning engine.
The water vapour that results from frying, boiling, and dishwashing, can result in higher than nominal humidity. This isn’t an issue as long as it is managed.
Try to keep the temperature no warmer than 18°C where food is stored or lying around. Open the window after cooking or baking.
The humidity level in the bathroom is naturally somewhat and occasionally a lot higher. This is not generally a problem, but you should always allow water vapour to escape outside after showering or bathing.
Nobody wants to be cold, when stepping out of the shower. Thus, you can temporarily raise the temperature in your bathroom to 24°C as long as you decrease it again.
